This is a photographic exploration of New York City's iconic skyscrapers, my favourite city's architectural essence. This series transforms these towering structures into surreal compositions through the meticulous layering and compositing of multiple images.
The project captures the interplay of form, texture, and light, highlighting the intricate patterns of glass, steel, and reflections that characterize the city’s skyline. By abstracting and reinterpreting these elements, the series transcends the physicality of the buildings to evoke a sense of urban energy and perpetual motion.
Each image delves into themes of structure and chaos, solitude within density, and the ceaseless upward thrust that defines New York's architectural spirit. The compositions blur the line between reality and imagination, inviting viewers to see the city's vertical landscape in a new and thought-provoking light.
